Policy Pathways to Protect Kansas Soil Health

KRC-Soil-Health-Legislator-Report_thumbnail2.jpg

This Spring the Kansas Rural Center (KRC) conducted a survey on the soil health practices used by farmers in Kansas, as well as their attitudes toward policy initiatives that would support increasing these practices. KRC created a report of the survey results, meant to inform legislators about the opinions and concerns of farmers regarding soil health. In the second part of this project KRC is forming a panel of ten farmers who will participate in a feedback sessions with legislators during the 2021 legislative session.
