The Kansas Rural Center has partnered with the Douglas County Community Foundation so that we may now accept donations manner that is most advantageous to the donor. For farmers and ranchers, this can include direct donations of grain or livestock.

By donating directly, the grower does not have to recognize the income from selling the commodity, which still recognizes the expenses incurred in production. Kansas Rural Center then receives the value of the donation in cash, allowing for furtherance of its mission. Likewise, donors may give appreciated assets such as stock, mutual fund shares, or real estate, or make donations from IRAs or other retirement plan distributions. We aim to make giving to KRC as efficient and effective for supporters as possible!
