Kansas Rural Center Seeks EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Kansas Rural Center (KRC), a nonprofit education and advocacy organization promoting a sustainable agriculture and food system, seeks applicants for Executive Director.  Responsibilities: overall program implementation, fundraising/grant writing, budget and financial management, personnel and administrative management, KRC’s public spokesperson, and works closely with the Board of Directors.  Background in and commitment to sustainable agriculture required.

Requirements: Demonstrated commitment to ecological, sustainable agriculture and food systems; leadership experience in nonprofit, business or organizational management; Substantial experience in Midwest US agriculture, food systems, agriculture and food system public policy, rural development, and/or natural resource management is necessary.  Relevant academic degree preferred.


Travel expenses, vacation and sick leave, retirement benefits provided.

 

Salary: starting at $65,000; commensurate with experience
