The Kansas Rural Center (KRC) is seeking a program coordinator for our Conservation Outreach efforts to empower Kansas farmers to access resources to improve farm sustainability. The program coordinator will focus on building relationships with Kansas farmers who have traditionally been left out of access to federal programs. The ideal candidate will be a passionate, motivated, and organized individual who can engage a diverse group of Kansas farmers and support them in applying for Federal Conservation programs, especially the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP). This position will work closely with the Executive Director and Communications Coordinator to carry out program obligations and other assigned duties, which may include some administrative duties. This position is 100% remote work for Kansas residents but includes travel to communities across the state.

The Kansas Rural Center (KRC) Farm Business Educator will provide education, outreach and support to Kansas farmers, especially new and beginning farmers with under 10 years in operation, agricultural businesses in the state of Kansas. The Farm Business Educator will need an ability to communicate with and engage a variety of farmers and agricultural businesses across the state. This position is funded by the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service Heartland Regional Food Business Center and will support the mission of that Center.
