Speak Up for Fair Maps – KS Fair Maps Coalition

  • Kansas Rural Center (map)

The next round of Kansas redistricting town halls are coming up and the KS Fair Maps Coalition will be hosting an educational event on November 15th to learn more about the redistricting process and how to prepare your verbal and written testimony for the Listening Tour.

This is your chance to speak about your community and what you believe our state and Congressional districts should look like before the legislature starts drawing their maps!

Listening Tour stops:
November 22, 5:30–7:30 p.m. - Congressional District 2 virtual town hall
November 23, 5:30-7:30 p.m. - Congressional District 1 virtual town hall
November 29, 5:30-7:30 p.m. - Congressional District 4 virtual town hall
November 30, 5:30-7:30 p.m. - Congressional District 3 virtual town hall

The KS Fair Maps Coalition is a nonpartisan grassroots education and engagement effort by organizations and individuals who want to see an equitable redistricting process that:
- is accessible to all Kansans and allows for meaningful participation regardless of location, ability, language, etc
- is free of partisan tactics and bias
- results in districts of equal population based on constitution, law, and communities of interest.
