Sustainable production of fresh fruits and vegetables in the Midwest requires an understanding of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Market producers are often daunted by the sheer number of potential pests that could affect their crops.

This 2-part workshop will introduce IPM practices and discuss controls for some common pests, insects and weeds. We'll start at 1:00 pm with online presentations from local experts including state extension specialist Dr. Cary Rivard, entomologist Dr. Raymond Cloyd and farmer Claire Zimmerman of Groundspeak Farm. We'll then conclude with an in-person farm tour from farmer Neil Rudisill at Woodland City KC in Kansas City, MO at 6:00 pm.
