Policy Pathways to Protect Kansas Soil Health

In the Fall of 2020 the Kansas Rural Center conducted a survey on the soil health practices used by farmers in Kansas, as well as their attitudes toward policy initiatives that would support increasing these practices. KRC created a report of the survey results, meant to inform legislators about the opinions and concerns of farmers regarding soil health. In the second part of this project KRC formed a panel of ten farmers who participated in feedback sessions with legislators during the 2021 legislative session.
