In addition to the wonderful Farmers Market fare that Emporians are beginnnig to get used to, in this, the second year of Winter Markets, a bright and shining feature of today’s market was the informational booth staffed by members of Girl Scout Troop 30050.

At the market today, shoppers were enjoying the apples, fresh vegetables, baked goods, honey, jams, jellies, and more. The next winter market will be on February 4, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Winter Markets will continue on the first and third Saturday of each month through April. Winter Markets are held at the Emporia Humanitarian Center, 215 W 6th Avenue, in Emporia.
The regular outdoor market season will begin May 5. Expect lots of great things from the Emporia Farmers Market this year as they celebrate their THIRTIETH year!
