Call for Organic Micro Grant Proposals
The Organic Crop Improvement Association Research & Education (OCIA R&E) is calling for the submittal of micro grant proposals pertaining to organic research and/or education.
Proposals are reviewed each March 15th and November 15th , but may be submitted year round.
OCIA Research and Education is a charitable organization, created in 2003, by certified organic members of OCIA International, a global leader in organic certification. OCIA R&E’s mission is to support organic research; facilitate connections between farmers, researchers, consumers and decision-makers; and educate producers and communities regarding organic farming and foods.
Micro grant awards range up to $1500. This amount could be exceeded by board vote in circumstances where a single proposal is of great importance or if insufficient proposals are received. Projects must pertain to organic research and be of benefit to OCIA certified members. Organic research may be conducted at either the on-farm or university level. Research projects are given a 12-month period in which to be completed. A written report detailing final research results is required at the completion of the project.
