Quad Cities Pollinator Conference
June 10, 2015 - June 11, 2015
Nahant Marsh, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Soil and Water Conservation Districts of Rock Island, Scott and Henry counties hope you will join us as we host the inaugural Quad Cities Pollinator Conference, June 10-11, 2015 at Jumer’s Casino and Hotel in Rock Island, IL.
This two-day event features a dinner with and keynote by John Phipps, commentator for U.S. Farm Report, and a keynote by May Berenbaum, Ph.D, Department of Entomology, University of Illinois.
The conference also boasts an outstanding lineup of speakers on topics such as: plant-pollinator relationships, pollinator decline, designing pollinator support plantings, land conservation practices, pollinator-friendly landscapes in agricultural and urban settings, and more. In addition, we are offering an optional pollinator truffle workshop and two post-conference tours.
The goal of our conference is to provide a platform for knowledge-sharing, open dialogue, networking opportunities and pollinator-related exhibits.
Whether you’re a farmer, government employee, landowner, homeowner, beekeeper, educator, conservationist, or simply an interested citizen, you’ll leave this conference with new-found knowledge, a well-rounded understanding of pollinator issues and ways you can help support pollinator health.
We hope you will make plans to join us for our first Quad Cities Pollinator Conference! Exhibitor space and sponsorships are available. If you have questions about the conference, please call (563) 323-5196 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sign up by May 15 to be entered in a drawing for a pollinator-related gift basket! Registration deadline is June 1, 2015.
