Our Moveable High Tunnel Workshop will  provide a hands on experience constructing a Four Seasons Tools moveable high tunnel.

Moveable high tunnels are at the cutting edge of growing technology as they solve some of the problems posed by stationary tunnels, mainly the ability to more effectively rotate crops, promoting plant and soil health, as well as allowing more effective season extension. A number of growers have indicated that high tunnel construction workshops are helpful if they are exploring the idea of high tunnels or are planning to build one, and since moveable tunnels are more mechanically complicated this is especially true.

This workshop will include the leadership of Greg Garbos, owner of Four Seasons Tools, comments by Stu Shafer on JCCC’s plan for crop production in the moveable tunnel, and an update on the Tunnel to Table project by Tom Buller, KRC Specialty Crops consultant.

For more information, contact: Tom Buller at bullerfamilyfarm@gmail.com, or 785-218-6233.
