Kansas Farm Bill Training: What You Need to Know

March 28, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Kansas has become increasingly important to federal food and farm policy since Kansas lawmakers are on both the Senate and House Agriculture Committees, but how can we make an impact when the Farm Bill seems complicated?

A FREE Farm Bill Advocacy Training will start demystifying the entire process.  The training will be held March 28, 2017 from 10:00am-5:00pm at the Memorial Auditorium in Pittsburg, KS.

At this training, you will have the opportunity to learn directly from a team of nutrition, hunger, agriculture, and public health experts working with lawmakers in Washington D.C. You can expect to learn:

•      What the Farm Bill is;

•      How the Farm Bill impacts food, hunger, health, and agriculture; and

•      How you can be an effective advocate for federal food policy

Registration closes on March 20th.  Don’t miss your opportunity to attend this training!
